The target audience for this cover are probably teenagers/early adults, both male and female(16- late 20's) who enjoy indie folk and folk rock. I find this album cover quite interesting, I think the negative space is quite appealing and the way they had the roman numeral be the focal point is also nice. My favorite part of this design is how they had the band in the roman numerical with the use of a clipping mask. I believe the designer's idea for this cover was to have it be simple but still add an interesting elements that separated it from the rest. This was seen as the cover art for The Lumineers' album "III"
